Top 11 in 2011 Innovators Challenge
10-28 OCTOBER 2011 - The mHealth Alliance and the Rockefeller Foundation have opened nominations for their new Challenge: Top 11 in 2011 Innovators Challenge. This Challenge will identify and award individuals who have used mobile technology in innovative ways to improve health systems and outcomes – particularly the most remote areas of the world.
To be considered, the mHealth innovator’s work should be:
- Original – a pioneering new idea or novel use of an existing tool
- Scalable and sustainable
- Transformative for a local or national health system
- Potential or demonstrated health impact
- Beneficial or applicable to developing countries
Nominations are being accepted now through October 28, after which the public will vote for the top nominees, and a selection committee comprised of global mHealth leaders will make the final decisions on the Top 11 Innovators.
Winners will receive an all-expense paid trip to the 2011 mHealth Summit in the Washington, DC area, held 5-7 December 2011 and will be honored at a VIP reception on December 4.
