UNSG Ban Ki-Moon tours Asia for women’s and children’s health
12-15 NOVEMBER | BANGLADESH, THAILAND, INDONESIA - On Saturday, 12 November 2011, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-Moon started a three-country visit to Asia to Bangladesh, Thailand and Indonesia to showcase the progress and leadership of these countries in advancing women’s and children’s health in the context of the Every Woman Every Child effort. He opened his trip by speaking at the GAVI Board and closed it speaking to the ASEAN Business Summit.
