OBJECTIVE: To re-emphasize WHO's leadership, solicit commitment and ensure appropriate WHO support to make a difference on maternal health in countries.

WHO: The provisional list of participants includes the above-mentioned women from Africa, Americas, Eastern Mediterranean, Europe and South-East Asia as well as heads of UNFPA, UNICEF and the Vice-President of the World Bank. A high-level delegation from the Family and Community Health Cluster at headquarters will be accompanying the Director-General.
