On 15 February 2012, PMNCH, Save the Children, UN Foundation and others took part in a non-stop global live “Twitter Chat” on child malnutrition: “Hidden Crisis” Tweet Chat - Life Without Hunger: Tackling Child Malnutrition".

PMNCH Director Carole Presern hosted a portion of the 12-hour, three-continent chat, from 1330 GMT until 1400 GMT on Twitter at #hiddencrisis. The archive of this Chat Tweet with PMNCH Director, Carole Presern, is available in pdf format on the right, or on the PMNCH or CarolePMNCH Twitter feeds.

The chat spanned three continents and 12 different time zones with participants engaging in at least three languages. Other Twitter Chat participants included Rwandan Minister of Health Agnes Binagwaho, Dr Liz Mason, WHO Director, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health and Francesco Branca, Director, Nutrition for Health and Development hosted and Dr Stanley Zlotkin, the inventor of sprinkles micronutrient powder.
