Calling for RMNCH action at G8/G20
APRIL - MAY 2012 – With just one month until President Barack Obama hosts G8 leaders at Camp David, The Partnership for Maternal, Newborn & Child Health is joining other leading development organizations in a social media campaign to encourage political will towards RMNCH among a number of key issues at this high level meeting. These messages will also target the world’s twenty major economies meeting in Los Cabos, Mexico for the G20 Summit in June.
The campaign will mostly take place on Twitter, where participants will be sending messages directed at G8 leaders urging commitments to important development issues – use the hashtag #DearG8 to join the global call for action. Then stay tuned for a blog series in the Huffington Post highlighting key issues of this campaign that will roll out in May.
