Health discussion on World We Want

Link to the "World We Want" interactive web platform to discuss the role of health in the post 2015 development agenda. Organizers hope that this consultation will draw a representative cross section of views and start to build consensus in five key areas: What are the lessons learnt from the health related MDGs? What is the priority health agenda for the 15 years after 2015? How does health fit in the post 2015 development agenda? What are the best indicators and targets for health? And how can country ownership, commitment, capacity and accountability for the goals, targets and indicators be enhanced? The platform is co-convened by WHO and UNICEF, in collaboration with the Government of Sweden and the Government of Botswana.

PMNCH submission

The Partnership for Maternal, Newborn & Child Health (PMNCH) has prepared a note as the Partnership’s contribution to the health thematic consultations which are part of the UN-led process to establish sustainable development goals post-2015. The note aims to provide answers to the guiding questions in the health thematic consultation concerning lessons from the Millennium Development Goals, priorities post-2015, how health fits into the post-2015 development agenda, indicators and targets, and ensuring processes and outcomes relevant to key stakeholders, from a women’s and children’s health perspective.

Deadline for submissions to the UN on-line consultation: 7 January 2013.
