16 october 2007, London - Director of the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, Dr Francisco Songane was invited to provide a testimony to the UK Parliamentary inquiry into maternal health and the status of UK support for this global development priority.
26 September 2007, New York - Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg of Norway pledged US$1 billion with an additional US$ 125 million commitment by Netherlands Prime Minister Jan Balkenende, to support education and maternal health.
