  15 OCTOBER 2010 | MIDRAND, SOUTH AFRIYA - The Pan African Parliament (PAP) has resolved to mobilize budgetary allocations from African governments to finance the implementation of the recently adopted African Union Declaration on Maternal, Infant and Child Health and Development in Africa.
• New Under-Secretary-General of UN Women to attend Partners’ Forum
  5 OCTOBER 2010 - Michelle Bachelet, former president of Chile and newly appointed Under-Secretary-General of the UN Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (known as UN Women), has accepted an invitation to the upcoming Partner’s Forum in India, marking her continued commitment to maternal, newborn and child health.

  25 JUNE 2010 | GENEVA - Today's announcement from the G8 of $5 billion of new funds for maternal and child health over five years is an important step to realizing the dream of better health for women and children around the world. As host of this year's G8 Summit, Canada pledged $1.1 billion of that amount.
