2012 G20 Summit in Los Cabos

18-19 JUNE 2012 | MEXICO – Group of 20 (G20) countries are going a long way to improving health of their populations through their commitment to ensure food security. G20 Leaders recognized that malnutrition compromises human resources, impeding growth and development and supported the SUN framework and launched the AgResults Initiative, aiming to improve food security for the most vulnerable through private sector innovation. PMNCH members, including ActionAid, ONE, STC, World Vision among others, advocated for improved nutrition -- the underlying cause of one third of child deaths. On PMNCHweb’s G20 WATCH, read Comments from PMNCH Board Chair Dr. Julio Frenk and Director Carole Present and other related statements and blogs.
