UK NGOs and Leaders advocate for MNCH on Mothers Day

London, 6 March - Gillian Merron UK Under-Secretary of State for International Development and Sarah Brown, public advocate and wife of UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown both raised their voices in support of MCNH to mark Mothers Day in Britain. They spoke at the opening a UK-NGO conference on "Harnessing UK expertise in maternal, newborn and child health to achieve MDGS 4 and 5".

Global Forum calls for immediate action to resolve health worker crisis

Kampala 6 March - The first-ever Global Forum on Human Resources for Health called for immediate and sustained action to resolve the critical shortage of health workers around the world, setting out the essential steps that need to be taken over the next decade to turn the crisis around.
