Mission statement
AISEDUP is a local NGO which attempts to bring about an improved life for the poor people in the social and economic spheres and assist them to access their legal and democratic rights by building up awareness. It started its programme on HIV/AIDS among young people in December 2005 called ‘Reduction of HIV/AIDS through resistance of women and children trafficking’. They work with both married and unmarried people, specially sex workers belonging to very poor and poor income group. Activities of the programme are staff and community volunteers training, awareness raising, advocacy meeting, condom supply and shipping and reproduction of material. A total of 2245 young people had received services. The programme is run by 3 professional staff and 2 support staff.
