Mission statement
Since 2002, the NAC has trained 270 midwifes in Afghanistan. This represents 10% of all certified midwifes in Afghanistan. NAC contributes to the goal of the Afghan Ministry of Public Health target to have 8000 certified/trained midwifes in Afghanistan by 2013. In order to reduce the maternal and child mortality rate in Afghanistan. Training of midwifes is one of the most important efforts.
