One of the IEA’s current emphases is to build epidemiological capacity in the global South, as well as to increase equitable global South/global North research collaborations. An important focus of many IEA members is on health inequities, within and between countries and regions, with the aim of producing knowledge and evidence that can be used to reduce these inequities and improve population health.
