Cuídate, an educational pamphlet on HIV and STI prevention in Bolivia

Geographic, economic, and cultural barriers severely limit access to HIV prevention services and information among indigenous populations in the Bolivian lowlands. FCI/Bolivia, Ibis/HIVOS, and the indigenous organization Central Indígena de la Amazonía de Pando (CIPOAP) have developed an intervention strategy and an educational pamphlet on the prevention of HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). The strategy includes working with local health authorities, advocacy with local leaders, and training of health promoters.
