Reducing maternal deaths: evidence and action
In 2004, DFID launched the strategy Reducing maternal deaths: evidence and action. The strategy identified four priority areas for action. Priority areas for action:
- Scale-up evidence-based intervention
- Address wider social and economic barriers to access
- Develop and apply new knowledge
This document provides the second update of progress in implementing that strategy and builds on commitments made in 2005/06.
