Overview
Despite the government, national and international organisations' efforts to promote safer motherhood in Nepal, the article depicts a story of women who are dying and suffering from problems that occur before, during and after childbirth. The story shows us that there are still lots of gaps and challenges to overcome in Nepal to achieve the millennium development goals 4 and 5, which the government cannot achieve alone without the synergetic efforts of a public-private partnership.
