To assist countries in planning and decision making, MPS analyzed data collected in many countries on a regular basis in developing country profiles showing in a visual format important key health service coverage for maternal and newborn health in the different regions of 78 countries. The profiles demonstrate great differences within-country in the coverage in MNH interventions between urban rural, the poorest and wealthiest population group. The MPS country profiles are being used for advocacy and programme planning purposes both internationally and in country.
