The P4H coordination desk is hosted at the World health Organization headquarters, within the Department of Health Systems Financing (HSF).
HSF department works in collaboration with regional and country offices of WHO to support countries seeking to strengthen their health financing systems. The work is guided by a global vision outlined in a resolution adopted by all Member States of the Organization (WHA Resolution 58.33), urging countries to develop health financing systems that allow all people access to needed services while avoiding catastrophic expenditure and impoverishment of people as a result of seeking care.
The department strives to be a trusted partner in the development of equitable, efficient and sustainable health financing systems and institutions. It does this through technical and policy support to countries, the provision and sharing of information, data and country experiences, capacity building and partnership.
