WHO WE ARE

Using up-to-date evidence and research, the Department of Reproductive Health and Research seeks to improve sexual and reproductive health, in particular among women and young people. This goal will be achieved through fostering and facilitating a sustainable change in national and international policy and public health programmes.

Maternal and Perinatal Health and Preventing Unsafe Abortion Team (MPA)

MPA works in the areas of maternal and perinatal health, prevention of unsafe abortion, and pre-conception/pre-pregnancy contraception/family planning, reproductive tract and sexually transmitted infections, infertility, and women’s health.

The Human Reproduction Team (HRX)

HRX works in the areas of contraception/family planning, reproductive tract and sexually transmitted infections, infertility, and women’s health.

Adolescents and at-Risk Populations Team (AGH)

AGH works in the areas of adolescent sexual and reproductive health, gender-based and sexual violence, harmful practices, sexual and reproductive health in emergencies, conflict, and humanitarian crises, and of other at-risk populations.
