This document is designed to provide support for those who are writing HIV-related proposals to be submitted to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (Global Fund). It focuses upon specific sexual and reproductive health interventions that build upon successes and make good programmes even better through a holistic approach to HIV.

This approach provides opportunities to reduce unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV, as well as maternal and newborn morbidity and mortality. It also helps people to know their HIV status and helps to ensure that the sexual and reproductive health and rights of people living with HIV are respected.
