This six-part, spiral-bound manual is designed to facilitate the process of development and implementation of safe motherhood programmes at the national level. It includes guidelines, model survey forms, a manual for trainers, a manual for surveyors, dummy tables for data entry and analysis, and guidelines for conducting a review of maternal deaths. It is accompanied by a diskette which includes electronic copies of the forms included in the manual.
