Multi-Country Survey Study
The study was carried out in 61 countries completing 71 surveys. Surveys were conducted in different modes of in-person household 90 minute interviews in 14 countries; brief face-to-face interviews in 27 countries and computerized telephone interviews in 2 countries; and postal surveys in 28 countries. Most samples were selected from nationally representative sampling frames with a known probability so as to make estimates based on general population parameters.
World Health Survey
The WHS was conducted in 71 countries completing 71 surveys. Surveys were conducted in different modes of in-person household 90 minute interviews in 54 countries; brief face-to-face interviews in 13 countries; and computer assisted telephone interviews in 4 countries. The responsiveness module was the 7th module (section 7000) in the survey and consisted of 5 sections: "Needing Health Care and General Evaluation of Health Systems", "Importance", "Seeing Health Care Providers", "Outpatient and Care at Home", and "Inpatient Hospital".
