Guatemala: using supply chain modeling and simulation to analyze the ministry of health supply chain
OVERVIEW
This paper identifies elements in the Guatemala Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare’s (MSPAS) logistics system that could impede the availability and accessibility of contraceptives. The analysis also proposes, through the use of supply chain simulation and optimization modeling software and geographic information system (GIS) tools, system-related solutions that could improve the performance of the overall MSPAS integrated supply chain.
