Long short walk for pedestrian safety

The National Road Safety Committee (NRSC), with technical and financial support from the World Health Organization, Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP), and Cambodian Movement for Health (CMH), and in collaboration with the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC), Handicap International (HI), Asia Injury Prevention (AIP) Foundation, Coalition for Road Safety (CRY), is going to organize the Second United Nation Global Road Safety Week on 11th of May, 2013. The theme is ‘ The Long Short Walk for Pedestrian Safety’ with the message: ‘ We are walking for the Need of Safe Roads for Pedestrians!’. It aims to increase attention of the government, relevant institutions to improve sidewalks and crosswalks for pedestrian safety. This event will be conducted at Anuvath primary school in central Phnom Penh with around 400 participants attended including government institutions, road safety partners, CRC youths, students and the media.
