About SPI
Created in 2004, SPI's mission is to identify actions that strengthen the collective response to HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria, three rapidly evolving epidemics. SPI works on the basis that the combined success of HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria programmes depends on appropriate designs and implementation.
Objectives
SPI's work is centered on the following main objectives:
- Fostering the involvement of all stakeholders in planning and implementing combined disease programmes to increase their coverage.
- Formulating innovative policy options towards universal coverage of services for the control of HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria.
- Identifying ways to strengthen health systems while scaling up disease-control programmes.
