The International Standards for Tuberculosis Care (ISTC) have been based on a wide global consensus of appropriate practices in TB diagnosis and treatment. They are complementary to the PPM approaches and should be actively promoted and used to help engage all care providers in implementation of the Stop TB Strategy.
