Global tuberculosis control and patient care: A ministerial meeting of high M/XDR-TB burden countries

The World Health Organization, together with the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China and The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is organizing this event with the aim of building consensus and commitment in countries with high risk of multiple drug resistant TB (M/XDR-TB), and on a global scale, to scale up prevention and management measures.

This meeting is limited to 250 delegates, but the outcomes will be shared with all stakeholders through the official meeting web site at http://www.who.int/tb_beijingmeeting/en. The site is being updated before, during and after the meeting, and will have the latest information on M/XDR-TB.

For more information, contact the WHO Stop TB Advocacy Officer, Andrée Pinard Clark (pinardclarka@who.int  tel +041 22 791 46 70).
