Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)

Good laboratory practices (GLP) are the recognized rules governing the conduct of non-clinical safety studies and are based on Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) principles to ensure the quality, integrity and reliability of the study data. TDR has developed 3 publications to support GLP.

Publications are:

Handbook

This handbook is designed as an aid for those countries wishing to upgrade their laboratories to GLP status. Based on the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) principles of GLP, the aim of the handbook is to provide laboratories and trainers in disease-endemic countries with the necessary technical information for implementing GLP programmes.

Trainee manual

This manual provides resource material for good laboratory practice (GLP) training. It is based on the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) principles of good laboratory practice (GLP), which are recognized as the international standard for GLP.

Trainer manual

This manual is aimed at trainers of good laboratory practice (GLP) and is a companion manual to the GLP training manual for the trainee. Distribution of hard copies, complete with CD-ROM, is strictly limited to those who have undertaken the TDR-GLP training of trainers workshop, or who are already GLP experts.
