Enhancing health systems
Without healthy system systems, it will be a struggle to diagnose the many TB patients and treat appropriately. TDR is working with Peking University and Chongqing Medical University in China, supported by the United Kingdom’s Development for International Development (DFID), to gather together evidence on the impact of health systems’ strengthening in different settings on national TB control programmes in low- and middle-income countries. This scoping review should help establish what is known and can be utilized better, and the gaps where further research is needed.
