Escuelas Libres de Tabaco (Tobacco-Free Schools)

LIPAT visitará escuelas públicas y privadas, en las cuales difundirá el mensaje de prevención de tabaco a través de exposiciones y entrega de volantes y folletería. También se dará a conocer la importancia del Convenio Marco de la Organización Mundial de la Salud para el Control del Tabaco y se organizará concurso de dibujos y composiciones alusivas al Día Mundial Sin Tabaco. A través de medios de comunicación masivos se difundirán mensajes sobre la problemática del tabaquismo en el Perú y acerca de las enfermedades que ocasiona el fumar.

Activists of the Liga Peruana Antitabaquica - LIPAT (Peruvian Antitobacco League) will visit several private and public schools of Lima to talk with secondary and primary students and their teachers about the harmful tobacco impact, and the tobacco industry strategies and their lies to encourage children and young people to start smoking. LIPAT will promote a healthy lifestyle, by staying away from cigarrettes, eating healthily, practicing sports and enjoying life with a positive attitude. Lipat will give away posters and flyers to children about harmful effects of tobacco and will teach about the WHO FCTC.
