5th Anniversary of the Smoke-free Davao Campaign and the World No Tobacco Day Celebration

Davao City celebrates its 5th year of implementation of the Comprehensive Anti-Smoking Ordinance. Looking back when the City started to implement its Anti-Smoking Law, Davao City has come a long way and still remains to be the only City in the Philippines where a strict tobacco control policy is being implemented. The program will start with the lauching of its Anti-Smoking Jingle entitled "Be Smart, Don't Start". The Anti-Smoking Task Force will award certificates to all its smoke-free establishments. This is also the culminating program for the search for the 10 outstanding anti-smoking student advocates of davao city and the best smoke-free schools in Davao City. The officers of the two anti-smoking groups under the Association of the Smoke-Free Davao Advocates will be inducted. These groups are the Council of Outstanding Youth Leaders against Tobacco and the Educators Anti-Smoking Organization.
