Country engagements
The World Health Organization has worked since 2011 with the Ministry of Finance of Ghana to review their current tax system and means to improve its effectiveness. The work also explores the different administrative challenges and ways to address them so that tobacco prices are increased effectively, consumption is reduced while at the same time government revenues are increased.
