Country engagements
The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Finance Kenya engaged first during the 2010 Kenya tax workshop. Kenya has one of the best monitoring and tracking systems for the transportation in the region that controls all movements of goods from border to border in Kenya. Ministry of Finance officials visited Geneva in early 2012 to work with WHO on their tobacco excise tax system, and the areas of improvement on tax system, administration and implementation issues.
