Tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship: enforcing comprehensive bans
Building capacity for tobacco control: training package
Overview
This training package has been prepared by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (the Union). The goal of the training is to facilitate strategic planning and action among those responsible for promoting, developing and implementing and enforcing comprehensive bans on tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship. In particular, the workshop will assist Parties to the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC) to fulfill their obligations under Article 13 of the WHO FCTC - tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship. It also aims at assisting WHO Member States that are not yet parties to the WHO FCTC to implement selected demand reduction measures.
