Mass-media campaigns (including counter-advertising)
Mass media include newspapers and other printed material, radio, television, billboards, etc. Mass media has an important role in information delivery to a vast majority of the population. The tobacco industry has used it to promote tobacco products. Mass media can be effectively used for counter advertising and health information delivery. Depending on the country one medium could be more effective than others.
Success of such campaigns in Syria, Egypt, Iran and Australia are forthcoming.
