Coordinating and Resource Facility on Communications and Media
The AAVP Coordinating and Resource Facility for communication and media focuses on increasing the capacity of stakeholders on the continent to advocate for and communicate more effectively on all relevant aspects of HIV vaccine research and clinical trials. This involves the development of sophisticated systems for dissemination of information, and the training of media and community representatives across Africa about HIV vaccine-related issues.
The centre also develops focused communication tools directed at key stakeholders and links up the African trial site communities involved in HIV vaccines to facilitate sharing of information and experience with community based issues in the field.
