Immunize Canada is a coalition of national non-governmental, professional health, government and private sector organizations. Its’ overall goal is to contribute to the control/elimination/eradication of vaccine-preventable diseases in Canada by raising awareness about the benefits of immunization and promoting the understanding and use of vaccines as recommended by the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI), a national committee of experts in various fields including pediatrics, infectious diseases, and public health which makes recommendations regarding the use of vaccines currently or newly approved for use in humans in Canada.
The Immunize Canada website (immunize.ca) provides the general public and health professionals access to a plethora of information regarding the benefits of immunization as well as promotional materials which are downloadable at no charge and are available in both official languages of Canada, English and French. The website is managed by the Immunize Canada Secretariat located at the Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) in Ottawa, Canada and is regularly updated to ensure the quality and timeliness of the information.
