The Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) is the largest organization of pediatricians in India. This is the official website of IAP’s Committee on Immunization (IAPCOI) to provide up-to-date information on vaccination to both general public and heath care professionals. It also includes information for travelers on vaccination.
Through its website, IAPCOI helps inform health care professionals and the general public about immunization by offering a range of resources including publications, policy statements, full-text free downloadable bi-annual guidebook, links to other vaccines web-based references, latest news in the field of vaccinology, vaccine storage guidelines, etc. The site is also tackling misinformation campaigns against vaccines/vaccination process through periodic updates.
The site contain information about the latest recommendations by the committee on different vaccines, yearly vaccination schedule, and details including minutes, proceeding, presentations, etc of all the meetings conducted by the committee and its sub-committees.
The website is managed by the convener of IAPCOI and is regularly updated to ensure the quality and timeliness of the information. The parent organization funds all the activities of IAPCOI including maintenance expenditure of the website. There are no affiliations of the individuals involved in site content and its maintenance in any way to the industry or to the organization which could influence site content.
