How to see the web in text-only mode
(or how to turn images on or off)
Please go through the following menu options.
If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5, please go to
- Tools
- Internet Options
- Advanced
- remove the checkmark for Show pictures, under Multimedia group of options
If you are using an earlier version of Microsoft Internet Explorer, please go to
- View.
- Internet Preferences
- Advanced
- remove the checkmark for Show pictures
If you are using Netscape Communicator, please go to
- Edit
- Preferences
- Advanced
- remove the checkmark for Automatically load images
If you are using an earlier version of Netscape, please go to
- Options
- click on Auto Load Images
When in text-only mode, a place holder (like small icons) appear instead of the images itself. To see the graphics while surfing, please follow the same steps but inverse the last step.
