Canadian Public Health Association adopts violence prevention resolution

On 15 June 2004, the Canadian Public Health Association adopted a violence prevention resolution that acknowledges the World report on violence and health, endorses World Health Assembly resolution 49.25 "Preventing violence: a public health priority", and endorses WHO's Global Campaign for Violence Prevention. The resolution is intended to deepen and reinforce the Canadian Public Health Association's commitment to and activities aimed at developing a national public health strategy on violence prevention.
