14-5-2003: The Department of Injuries and Violence Prevention and WHO's Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office hosted a regional meeting of road safety experts to discuss preparation of the World report on road traffic injury prevention. The report is scheduled to be released on World Health Day, 7 April 2004 which will be dedicated to "Road Safety". This meeting in Cairo is the fourth and final in a series of regional meetings planned to bring experts together to review draft outlines of the report and solicit input on both the scientific content and cultural relevance of the report.
