American Medical Association endorses WHO World report on violence and health
World report on violence and health
19-6-2003: During its annual meeting, the House of Delegates of the American Medical Association discussed the WHO World report on violence and health. Its Delegates endorsed the Report and the efforts of WHO to recognize the myriad health effects of violence on the world's citizens and decided to disseminate the findings of the Report, together with the World Medical Association. The American Medical Association also expressed support of primary prevention activities and services for victims which encourage physicians to get involved in violence prevention.
