Violence and Injury Prevention

Violence Prevention Evidence Base updated

The Violence Prevention Evidence Base is a joint project of the Liverpool John Moores University Centre for Public Health and WHO. It collates abstracts and information from published studies that have measured the effectiveness of interventions to prevent violence.

Following a major systematic review of literature published since 2008, it has been updated and now includes 365 studies from across the world. All WHO regions are represented in the database, with new studies recently added from Australia, China, Finland, India, Iran, Jamaica, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States. Studies cover a wide range of types of violence.
