WHO report highlights achievements in Area of Work on injuries, violence and disabilities during 2004-2005
The WHO publication Injuries, Violence and Disabilities: biennial report 2004-2005 describes the most salient activities conducted during the biennium by WHO headquarters and regional and country offices and partners in this Area of Work. The report shows considerable progress in all regions of the world in raising awareness about injuries and violence and implementing activities. Governmental and nongovernmental agencies are strengthening data collection systems, improving services for victims and survivors and increasing prevention efforts. The many activities described in the report reflect the collaborative nature of WHO's efforts in this field. WHO gratefully acknowledges the support and cooperation of its partners.
