WHO scales up its response on violence prevention
28-5-2003: On Wednesday 28 May 2003, the delegates to the World Health Assembly adopted Resolution 56.24 on implementing the recommendations of the World report on violence and health. The Resolution calls for appointing focal points in Ministries of health to develop national reports. These include developing national plans of action, strengthening data collection and research, improving services for victims of violence and focusing more on primary prevention.
