Fifth meeting of the International Small Community Water Supply Network
The fifth meeting of the International Network was held in Kampala, Uganda, from November 17-20, 2008, co-hosted by the Ugandan Ministry of Water and Environment and the National Water and Sewerage Corporation.
The meeting in Uganda was designed to further the work undertaken by the Network through a review and validation of the progress achieved to date on current work stream activities and the identification of additional work stream activities and next steps. The main focus was on issues in Africa, but attendees from developed and developing countries from around the world participated. Network members who were not able to attend in person were invited to participate electronically through the virtual forum.
Specific direction was provided so that the Network could begin to finalize activities on which they have been working, in keeping with agreed upon timelines. Overall, members were pleased with the progress on the work of the Network.
