United Nations Decade Water for Life

The Water for Life Decade was established by the United Nations General Assembly and launched on 2005 World Water Day (22 March). It calls on the international Community to strengthen efforts toincrease access to water and sanitation for all. The Decaide aims to promote efforts to fulfill international commitments made on water and water-related issues by 2015, placing special emphasis on the involvement and participation of women in these efforts.
