Chapter 4 Materials
Tables 4.9, 4.10 and 4.11, Annex Tables 6-16 and Web Annex Tables 17-18 show further results from Chapter 4 'Quantifying selected major risks to health'. The prevalence of risk factors is shown in Annex Table 6, and Selected population attributable fractions are shown in Annex Table 7. Tables 4.9 and 4.10 and Annex Tables 8-13 show attributable mortality, attributable years life lost and attributable DALYs by different groupings of WHO regions. Annex Tables 14-16 show the relationships between the leading 10 selected risk factors and 10 leading diseases and injuries, in terms of population attributable fractions, for three major world regions. Web Annex Table 17 provides definitions of risk factors, exposure variables, theoretical minima, and disease and injury outcomes and Web Annex 18 gives estimates of uncertainty ranges for global estimates of attributable burden. Table 4.11 shows estimates of avoidable burden in 2010 and 2020.
