Goals
Strategic vision
The HWAI network seeks to improve human resources for health (HRH) at the global, regional, and national level in the following ways:
- Seeking greater clarity on financial support for HRH, including donor as well as domestic sources of investment, and distribution of funding within HRH
- Securing global and regional financial and political commitments to prioritize HRH and health systems strengthening (HSS)
- Fostering development of policies and actions for well-trained, motivated, adequately equipped, and equitably distributed health workforce
- Building better accountability among HRH stakeholders on meeting HRH-related commitments
- Supporting the development and effectiveness of grassroots movements at local and country levels supporting HRH, and linking those movements to regional and international networks
