Oswaldo Cruz Foundation – FIOCRUZ/PE – Aggeu Magalhães Research Center

The Aggeu Magalhães Research Center (CPqAM) was created in 1950 to provide scientific evidence on endemic diseases affecting the Northeastern region of Brazil. In the 1970s, the Center was integrated to FIOCRUZ, which is located inside the campus of the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE).

During the visit, participants will learn about the work carried out by the Center in various fields of public health, - entomology, immunology, microbiology, parasitology, collective health and virology, and experimental therapy.
